Races

Club races

Scottish organises many friendly club races for runners and walkers of all speeds and abilities. These races include relays, cross-country races, road races and mountain races.

Some of these races are handicapped, which means the faster you are, the longer you have to wait until you start. If the handicap goes to plan, everyone finishes at the same time in a mad scramble to the finish line. Many of the races have historic trophies that members have been contesting for many decades. Because the races are handicapped, everyone has a chance to win on the day.

There are several different mile races including elite men’s and women’s races and an all-comers mile that anyone can participate in (including Father Christmas).
