  • Friday 12:27 pm, Kupe Run: a chatty pre-weekend run from the Kupe statue on the waterfront
  • Saturday 8am Parkrun at: WaitangiLower HuttTrentham MemorialAra HarakekeŌtaki RiverKāpiti and Greytown
  • Saturday 1:30pm (race starts 2pm): Centennial Cup, Island Bay – our opening club race of the season. This is a flat 5km club race along the south coast waterfront. It’s a sealed handicap event where our handicapper has estimated your time over 5km to determine your handicap. Everyone starts together, and the finishing times are adjusted by your handicap to determine your net time and the overall winner of the Cup. We meet beforehand at St Hilda’s Church, 311 The Parade, to store gear. Then we return afterwards for afternoon tea.
  • Sunday 8:00am: Porirua Grand Traverse, Porirua
  • Sunday long pack run: usually these leave at 8:30am from outside Freyberg Pool and some alternative locations around Wellington. Contact our club captains, Meg and Alistair, or check Facebook for details.

James Preston recorded a stunning career best 1:44.87, climbing to number two on the all-time NZ rankings to claim an exhilarating victory in the senior men’s 800m race at the 2024 Jennian Homes New Zealand Track & Field Championships in Wellington.

Membership Change

The WSAC standard membership fee for 2024/25 has been increased to $195. 

Anyone who renews before 30 April is eligible for the $20 discount. Note – discount is not applicable to rolling memberships being renewed from 1 April onwards.

Social membership increases to $115 – Social / 2nd membership increases to $75 

Junior and volunteer fees remain the same.
