Every Saturday, when the club is not competing in an interclub relay or race or hosting one of its own club handicap races, we organise pack runs and walks. We divide into packs of different speeds and head off at a friendly ‘chatting pace’ to explore the city and its trails. Sometimes the runs are based at our clubhouse in Mt Cook while others leave from different venues to explore other parts of the city suburbs, and surrounding areas, including Lower Hutt and Porirua.
Our Saturday club pack runs and walks, provide a variety of packs (groups) that will run or walk at the pace that best suits you. For the first few Saturdays of the season, our packs leave the clubhouse at 2pm. The pack runs and walks are always followed by an afternoon tea and a chance to mix with members. Often, for those who are keen the afternoon proceeds from afternoon tea to a local pub to share a drink and continue the discussions.
