Galashiels Shield and Novice Cup results, 10 July 2021

Posted by

Good to see so many of you at sunny Eastbourne this afternoon. A decent turnout and lots of friendly faces helping out made it a great day.

Loretta Desourdy produced a storming performance to finish more than a minute quicker than her handicap to take out the Galashiels Shield. Amy Walker also destroyed her handicap to be second across the line and take out the Novice Cup. And in a rather cool coincidence, Amy finished in exactly the same race time as her mum, Heather. Eight people equalled or beat their handicaps, and we had the usual exciting swarm of people finishing close together and creating stress for the finish line crew!

Thanks to Marshall Clark and the M60s for a well-organised, fun event.
