Imagine that it is a cold winter’s day, and you have been out for a run from the Scottish clubhouse. When you get back, there is a steaming hot fresh espresso coffee waiting for you. Wouldn’t that be great?
In my persuasive piece of writing, I will persuade you that there should be an espresso machine in the Wellington Scottish clubhouse. I will give three reasons why we should put an espresso machine in our clubhouse.
The first reason is that espresso coffee is really nice and lots of people like to drink it. Some people prefer tea or Milo. But if we had an espresso machine, then the lines for tea and Milo would be shorter, so everyone would benefit. That is one reason why we should have an espresso machine in the clubhouse.
The second reason is that if we had an espresso machine in the clubhouse then more people would want to come to the clubhouse and more people would want to stay and drink coffee after our runs. When we have runs that are not at the clubhouse, we could take the espresso machine with us. So more people would go running and more people would talk to each other.
The third reason is that we could have an espresso machine without costing the club very much money. We would only need to raise $1000 to buy a machine and lots of coffee. We could ask people to donate money and whoever donates the most could give the coffee machine a name. I would donate a lot of money and call it the Greg and Trevor Chappell Espresso Machine.
You might ask: but what about the reasons not to have an espresso machine in the clubhouse? I asked the management committee, and said that they had decided not to put an espresso machine in the clubhouse. That is not a reason. There is no reason not to have an espresso machine in the Wellington Scottish clubhouse.
In conclusion, we should have an espresso machine in the Wellington Scottish clubhouse because espresso coffee is nice to drink, lots of people like to run and then drink good coffee and talk, and we could raise the money and it would be fun. I hope I have persuaded you that we should have an espresso machine in the Wellington Scottish clubhouse.
