Incorporating Race Walking New Zealand Road Relay Championship. The Wellington Scottish Club’s walkers relay will be on 20 May 2012 incorporating Race Walking New Zealand’s Road Relay Championship. Now in its sixth year this has become a “Must do” event for serious and not so serious walkers. Already some clubs have booked accommodation to make sure they do not miss out. This six lap relay over the marathon distance (42.2 km) can now be competed for by teams which can use only five walkers if they choose. The layout of the 1.25 km lap and the social side of the event make for a great atmosphere and great viewing of the race held on the popular course in the Campus on Somme Road Trentham Upper Hutt.
