Great going to the Scottish team in very trying conditions, especially to Paul (Pablo) Rodway who put his mind (and legs) to it and showed us all how it's done - with determination, consistency and perseverance. Hope you've pulled up well after an epic ride Paul.

That is so sad to hear Glen. Chris was a true competitor when he ran for us - a strong, 'gentle giant' type of bloke who had many friends at Scotish and who had a tenacity when racing that I rememebr well. May he Rest in Peace. My deepest sympathies to all his family and friends.

Congratulations Scottish on your success at the nz road relay champs. It brings back great memories of the seventies when I was running for Scottish A team in the relays.

Congrats to the two Masters A teams and the Senior Men's A for bringing home the medals, including the top club award. It is awesome for the rest of us to belong to the top club.

Here is a quick B Boyz report:

Rohan tried to go to the well a second time with a big fiery pre-race speech in the van. For some reason the beeping van told us off for every single thing - not closing the door, not clicking enough seatbelts, smelling bad, trying to run less than two hours after finishing a meal. Yet, it did not emit a single beep when Julian just about killed us by trying to cheer out the sunroof while driving. Hayden got us off to a good solid start working his way through the field into seventh. Julian quickly picked up another couple of places with fifth fastest run of the day on his lap. And that (somewhere between 5th and 7th) was pretty much where we resided all day.

Cory picked up the last leg not too far behind Wesley and Takapuna. James List, who was running leg 8 for Wesley, refused to do the decent thing for his former club, despite a torrent of abuse, taunts and sledging from our van. He instead ran away with 5th place for his team. However, Takapuna crumpled under the pressure and Cory passed their final runner to bring us up into 6th - spurred along no doubt by a skinny white chested haka of fury.
