Tricia Sloan took out the women's long course event (10k) with its 6pm start meaning night navigation required. Taking silver was women's captain Sierra Ryland. Others Scottish members in the field were Bex Howells amd Kath Tate. In the men's 10k event: Huw Crosweller, Matt O'Connor and Nick Whalley.
In the short race (6k), Females: Renee Hawthorne (1W), Emma Hawthorne. In the males: Jonathan Beresford (1M), Stu Beresford (3MM).

Makara Peak has a fantastic network of trails with great under foot conditions (it’s a mountain bike park) making it an ideal location for XTERRA night running. We mark the trails up extra well and illuminate the tricky bits giving you a great night out running or walking under the star

Registration:Starts from 4.30pm and will close at 5.30pm. Location is still being worked out, most likely be at the Karori West School (still in negotiations).

Course Distances:Long (10k) and Short (6k) Courses. Short Course open to Walkers
Long Course:Winding tracks with good underfoot conditions. Some great views over the city at night. Quick (and brave) runners back in fifty minutes, the more leisurely among you back in an hour and ten.
Short Course:Like the Long Course runners you get winding tracks with good underfoot conditions. If you are a quick runner you should be going the Long Course, so the rest should be around this course in thirty to forty five minutes.
