XTERRA Trail Running, Meridian West Wind Park, 8 May 2016

Scottish harriers don't just run and walk on roads and in parks, they also take to triathlon, track, and hilly trails. Last Sunday,14 ran in three events at the West Wind windmill park. In the long event, Demelza Murrihy-Topp was third in the women's race over the long course (17k). Also in this race was Lyn Clark. In the male long course were Geoff Ferry, Andrew Kerr and John Gardiner.

The medium course (12k) saw Tricia Sloan coming second in the women's race. Christine Jones, Carla O'Donnell, Karen Ward and Loretta Desourdy also ran this distance.  As for the men, Naim Macdonald came second, while Paul Rodway was a bit slower. In the short course (7k), Jonathan Beresford was second, while his dad Stuart also featured.
