The second event of 3 Peaks series attracted 61 keen participants on the morning of Saturday 26th May to Karori.
The peaks on offer were Wright's Hill, Makara Peak and Johnston's Hill. Some took the 'scenic route' and others took the 'only way is up' option and completed the course with a variance between 14-24kms. Those who took the 'only way is up' option did remarkably well to navigate all three peaks in record time. Leading the solo 'only way is up' group was none other than mountain runner Stephen Day in 1hrs and 14minutes. He was followed by Nigel Kirk in 1:31 and Jake Hanson in 1:43 who opted for the scenic route.
Fastest female on the course was Tiffany Lester in 1:53 with Lucy Cotterill taking second in 2:06 and Lyn Clark third in 2:21.
Howard Harman and Chris Watson took honours in the walking division in 2:29 respectively.
