Taupo Ironman – 2 March 2013

A few Scottish members signed up for “the long day in the office” or for “being in a  dark place” in doing the iron distance triathlon (S3.8k/B180k/R42.2k):  They include: Deano Gaskin, 9:34, 22nd overall, not too far outside the pros.; Natalie Gaskin 10:48, 38W, James Turner, 11:34; Claire Jennings, 15:34.  Winner was Bevan Docherty in his first attempt at the longer distance with a time of 8:15 (M=2:49), setting a NZ best time and finishing 19 minutes ahead of third-placed Cameron Brown.  Results
